Each week class awards are given out to a small number of students from each class. K-2 students receive their awards at the K-2 Assembly. When a student has received 2 class awards, they then receive a BRONZE AWARD at the K-6 Assembly. After another 2 class awards, a SILVER AWARD is given. After the 5th and 6th class awards are received, the student receives a GOLD AWARD. At the beginning of each school year the students start a fresh count of awards.
Congratulations to our first award recipient for the year, Heidi.

Here are some pics from the first week of school with the Year 1s from K/1F. As we are waiting for our new classroom to arrive, we get to hang out in the Tiered Learning Area- a part of the iCentre known as the TLA. The girls have handled the unique situation with maturity. We don't have a wet area or sink in the TLA so the girls go to 1E or 1J for their fine motor craft. We had our first K-2 Assembly for the year and enjoyed some running races with all the Year 1s on Captain Oldrey Park.
There are three designated eating times during the school day at Broulee Public School.
We have Crunch and Sip each day at about 10am. At this time the students eat fresh fruit or vegetables and drink water. Please don't send processed or packaged fruits for Crunch and Sip. From 11:00 until 11:10am the students sit down to eat their lunch before going out to play. Recess occurs between 1:10 and 1:40. This is a time when the students can eat a snack and play again. |
